GREEK MINT TURKEY BURGER RECIPE

Here is a very quick and easy Greek mint turkey burger recipe perfect for a no-fuss dinner after a busy day.  This uses all dried spices so you can make in a pinch without any special produce purchases.  You may realize this is my third ground turkey recipe in a row…you can see I am an avid bulk shopper always pinching my pennies.  Having multiple variations of the same cut of meat will allow you to bulk shop and keep your menus alive at the same time!

PREP TIME: 5 Minutes

COOK TIME: 10 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey (93%)
  • 3 tsp dried mint
  • 2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tbl olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine turkey, mint, onion, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined, careful not to overmix. Divide evenly into 4 – 4 oz patties.
  2. Heat large skillet over medium/high heat and add olive oil.
  3. Add turkey patties to skillet, cooking each side until golden (about 4-5 minutes per side) and cooked through in center.

 

SUGGESTED TOPPING OPTIONS:
* 1 tablespoon of sour cream mixed with lemon and capers
* 1/2 ounce of feta cheese
* 1 tablespoon of tzatziki sauce
